Rock Island Sound offers a large selection of brass, woodwind, percussion, and string instruments for rent at our Tarrytown and Rye, from violins to trumpets, clarinets to flutes, our musical instruments rentals are of the highest quality, new or like new, and are endorsed by music educators. We carry all the major brands, including Selmer, Bach, King, Conn, Artley, Armstrong, Vito, and Gemeinhardt. All musical instrument rentals from our Tarrytown music store, or our Rye location, are clean, sterile, and in perfect playing condition.

Customer Service

The rental process is easy. You can rent a musical instrument in Tarrytown or Rye on a monthly basis or for the school year. We will go to your school for delivery, exchanges, and pickups, and we can include all the accessories you need to join the school band and orchestra program.

 

WE OFFER:

Exchange Option: The musical instrument rented may be exchanged for a different one at any time during the rental term.

​

Rental Purchase Option: Our musical instrument rent-to-own program allows you to apply rental payments toward the purchase of the instrument rented or a step-up instrument at a discounted price.

​

Repair and Maintenance Service: We have a full service repair staff, and all needed repairs (except strings) are covered at no charge to you. Replacement instruments will be provided to customers whose repairs will take more than a week. Customers can choose to keep the replacement or have the original returned following repairs.

​

Coverage for loss, damage, and theft: For a nominal charge, we assume liability of protecting the rental customer against loss, damage or theft.
