An orchestra is a powerful example of the potential of music to unite individuals into a shared experience and expression of beauty. At Rock Island Sound in Tarrytown, our orchestra instrument lessons are a gateway to this community of expression.

We are also passionate about providing opportunities for members of our community to grow in their ability to participate in music creation. That’s why we are excited to offer high-quality lessons from experienced musicians to help you master orchestral instruments, opening the door to collaboration and further enjoyment of great works of art with others.

We currently offer group or individual orchestra instrument lessons in Tarrytown and Rye for violin, trumpet, flute, and others. This can be a great way for players early in their journey to learn alongside others, developing a sense of community with fellow musicians. These are designed for students at various levels and will introduce you to a repertoire of pieces by a variety of composers.
